Officials in the northern Michigan town of West Allis have found a body that may have been buried in a rural cemetery.
The search is being conducted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials say the body was discovered about 1 p.m.
The coroner says the death was a homicide and the case is still under investigation.
The sheriff’s department says it is not releasing the name of the person or what type of vehicle it was.
Officials did not say how many people may have participated in the search.
The West Allsore Township Police Department said it was the first time the department had received a call about a missing person and it was not immediately clear what the body may have belonged to.
